Katrin Iwanczuk, nata nel 1984, ha studiato Storia dell’Arte in Dusseldorf, Napoli e Parigi. Dopo uno stage al giornale Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, ha lavorato ai canali televisivi ARTE e WDR. Mentre scriveva per diverse serie e riviste di arte, è sempre stata appassionata di fotografia, ed è diventata editor per LFI, la rivista indipendente che mette in luce i migliori fotografi Leica. Per LFI ha anche lavorato all’organizzazione di workshop con, tra gli altri, Matt Black, Matt Stuart e Jacob Aue Sobol.
Katrin è regolarmente invitata come lettrice portfolio ai vari festival internazionali. dal 2019 coordina il contenuto del Leica Blog. Come reviewer è soprattutto interessata a progetti documentaristici che hanno a che vedere con tematiche contemporanee e incontrare fotografi che usano, o vorrebbero usare, attrezzatura Leica. Katrin vive ad Amburgo.
Katrin Iwanczuk, born in 1984, studied History of Arts in Dusseldorf, Naples and Paris. After an internship at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung she worked for the TV channels ARTE and WDR. While writing for different feuilletons and art magazines, she was always passionate about photography, and so in 2010 became an editor for LFI, the independent magazine featuring the best of Leica photographers. For LFI, she also worked on the organization of workshops with, among others, Matt Black, Matt Stuart, and Jacob Aue Sobol.
Katrin regularly reviews at various international photography festivals. Since 2019, she has been coordinating the content of the Leica Blog. As a portfolio reviewer she is mostly interested in looking at documentary projects dealing with contemporary issues, and meeting photographers who shoot with, or are keen to try, Leica equipment. Katrin is based in Hamburg.
