Con il progetto Migranesimo Alex Majoli esplora la frammentazione e la polarizzazione dell’identità europea, che sta facendo i conti con la consapevolezza di non poter continuare a isolarsi dalla crisi in corso nel Mediterraneo.

A migliaia nell’Africa subsahariana lasciano i loro paesi nella speranza di una vita migliore in Europa. Molti migranti sono bloccati in Marocco per mesi o anni, in un limbo dove tutto ciò che rimane loro è la speranza.

With “Migranesimo”, Alex Majoli is exploring the fragmentation and polarization of Europe’s identity as it struggles to come to terms with the realization that it can no longer isolate itself from the crisis unfolding just across the Mediterranean.

Thousands of sub-Saharans leave their country with the hope of a better life in Europe. Many migrants are stranded in Morocco for months or years, locked in a limbo where all they have got left is hope.
