A giugno, Piero Percoco ha visitato il Regno Unito per una residenza speciale a Brighton. Durante il suo soggiorno, ha esplorato l’ambiente costiero e documentato la diversità delle comunità locali. Il punto di vista di Piero getta una lente unica e poetica su questa popolare destinazione balneare. Con il supporto dell'Istituto Italiano di Cultura e in collaborazione con Photoworks, una piattaforma internazionale per la fotografia e l'arte che dal 1995 promuove la fotografia per tutti, costruendo una piattaforma globale che offre ad artisti e pubblico nuove opportunità ed esperienze uniche, aprendo continuamente nuovi modi di avvicinarsi alla fotografia.

Piero Percoco (the rainbow is underestimated) fotografo autodidatta classe 1987, è nato a Bari e cresciuto in provincia, inizia il suo percorso nel 2012 pubblicando su Instagram fotografie della quotidianità scattate con un iPhone e da circa 15 anni documenta il suo territorio, nella vita di tutti i giorni. Una documentazione naturale dei luoghi di appartenenza dove è nato e cresciuto, i ricordi al mare, alla foresta di quando era bambino, l’infanzia. Tra le mostre: Helmut Newton Foundation, in Berlin, 2017; Duesseldorf Photo Weekend, 2017; Photo Vogue Festival, BASE Milano, 2019; Looking On, MAR Museo, Ravenna. Il suo lavoro è stato pubblicato online e su carta: New York Times, C41 Magazine, Rolling Stone Italia, Vogue Italia, The New Yorker, The passenger, Exibart, Leica Photographer Award, Fotografia Magazine, RAI Cultura, Der Greif, D- Repubblica, Minima&Moralia, Drek Magazine, Interview DE, Focus DE, Photonews, Il Fotografo, Mit Vergnuegen, The British Journal of Photography, Guggenheim. In June, Piero Percoco visited the UK for a special residency in Brighton. During his time there, he explored the coastal environment and documented the diversity of local communities. Piero’s point of view casts a unique and poetic lens on this popular seaside destination. Supported by the Italian Cultural Institute and PhEST, in partnership with Photoworks, an international platform for photography and art that has championed photography for everyone since 1995. This platform offers artists and audiences fresh opportunities and unique experiences, continually opening new ways to encounter photography.

Piero Percoco (the rainbow is underestimated), a self-taught photographer born in 1987, was born in Bari and raised in the province. He began his journey in 2012 by publishing on Instagram photographs of everyday life taken with an iPhone and for about 15 years, he has been documenting his territory in everyday life. A natural documentation of the places of belonging where he was born and raised, memories of the sea, of the forest when he was a child, and childhood. Among the exhibitions: Helmut Newton Foundation, in Berlin, 2017; Düsseldorf Photo Weekend, 2017; Photo Vogue Festival, BASE Milano, 2019; Looking On, MAR Museo, Ravenna.
