Wozu è una serie che mostra gli stati di collisione interiore tra ego spaventati, individui che vogliono distogliere lo sguardo dalla verità e che, nonostante il clamore delle voci intorno a loro, rimangono in gran parte silenziosi. L’acqua rappresenta la morte del corpo fisico e, allo stesso tempo, dell'anima spinta alla disperazione. L’attributo pacifico ma violento dell'acqua è molto simile a quello degli esseri umani. Articolo la collisione tra gli ego attraverso il mix di acqua e del corpo umano.
Dongwook Lee (1973, Corea del Sud) vive e lavora in Corea del Sud.
Si è laureato alla Hankuk University of Foreign Studies e si è specializzato in cinese. Fotografo autodidatta, si è occupato sia di arte che di fotografia commerciale.

“Wozu” is a series that shows the states of inner collision among scared egos –individuals that want to look away from the truth and who, despite the clamor of voices around them, remain largely silent. Water represents the death of the physical body, and at the same time, of the soul driven to despair. The peaceful but violent attribute of water is very similar to that of human beings. I articulate the collision between egos through the mix of water and the human body.
