ULTRADISTANCIA

L’artista argentino Federico Winer parte dalla sua fascinazione per le mappe, rivelatrici della curiosità umana verso il mondo. A partire dalle immagini satellitari di Google Earth, con Ultradistancia Federico crea dei tableaux in cui le forme geometriche, i colori, ci portano fuori dal mondo e poi di nuovo dentro, vicini. Il mouse è il suo pennello, attraverso il quale selezione e crea un paesaggio, una Geografia Estetica, che ci affascina per la sua bellezza e immensità, e allo stesso tempo ci riporta a una dimensione umana, riconoscibile, nostra.

Federico Winer (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1973) è un artista visivo, fotografo e professore di Filosofia Politica all’università di Buenos Aires, con una formazione in scienze politiche, filosofia, architettura e arte.

È uno dei membri fondatori del gruppo sperimentale Soy Cuyano, una squadra multidisciplinare di intellettuali e scienziati che esplorano la relazione tra filosofia, le scienze e le arti.

The Argentinian artist Federico Winer is fascinated by maps revealing man’s curiosity towards the world. In “Ultradistancia”, starting with Google Earth’s satellite images, Winer creates tableaux in which geometrical shapes and colors take us out of this world and then back, close again. The mouse is his brush, through which he selects and creates a landscape, an Aesthetic Geography, which fascinates us with its beauty and immensity, while at the same time returning us to our, recognizable human dimension.

Federico Winer (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1973) is a visual artist, photographer and professor of Political Philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires with a background in political science, philosophy, architecture and the arts.

He is one of the founding members of the experimental group Soy Cuyano, a multidisciplinary team of intellectuals and scientists who explore the relationship between philosophy, sciences and the arts.
